ePropulsion eLite wins Sailors’ Choice Award at Southampton International Boat Show
ePropulsion, a global leader in marine electric propulsion systems and services, is delighted to announce that its eLite electric outboard has won the Engine & Outboards category at the inaugural Sailors’ Choice Awards, announced at the Southampton International Boat Show.
Organised by Practical Boat Owner and Yachting Monthly, and sponsored by Haven Knox Johnston, the Sailors’ Choice Awards celebrate the marine equipment, products and services most valued by the sailing community. The awards are particularly significant as nominations were put forward by sailors and boat owners, with the winners then decided by public vote.

Designed to provide a lightweight and easy to use alternative to small petrol outboards, eLite combines the motor, battery and controls into a compact electric outboard weighing just 6.7kg. Its direct drive motor delivers 500W of nominal power, with Sport Mode providing up to 750W when additional power is required. An integrated 378Wh lithium battery eliminates the need for a separate battery or fuel tank, while the foldable tiller and compact design make eLite easy to carry, install and store. Quiet operation and minimal maintenance make it particularly suited to tenders, dinghies and other small craft.
Winning the Engine & Outboards category adds another significant accolade for ePropulsion and reflects the growing recognition of electric propulsion among sailors and boat owners.
