Hydrogeneration

The Spirit 1.0 Evo is the industry’s first electric outboard to feature hydrogeneration technology, allowing the battery to recharge while the vessel is under sail. This breakthrough maximises energy efficiency and extends range without dependence on shore power. It represents a major advancement in marine technology, uniting high-performance propulsion with sustainable energy management.

The Spirit 1.0 Evo outboard is capable of driving the propeller to recharge the ePropulsion battery through water flow when specific operating conditions are met (see the user manual in the download centre for detailed requirements).
The hydrogeneration data is based on real tests with the anti-ventilation plate installed.
